At some point, our air-conds don’t give off the same cool air as we expect, this is typically a telltale sign that it requires a thorough cleaning, not just a regular cleaning but a chemical wash. A chemical wash is a process that utilizes chemicals to do a deep cleaning for your air- conditioner internally or externally hence we would need to go through a process of dismantling some parts that includes filters, condenser and evaporator coils. We submerge some of the parts like filters, condenser or evaporator coils and some other parts will be submerged into some dedicated chemicals to help removing acid stains internally mainly,
What does the chemical wash service include?
An air-cond chemical wash involves the extensive cleaning of an air conditioning unit, including the fan coils, using chemical-based solutions.
Standard cleaning products are typically not strong enough to penetrate through a blockage if there are, for example, chemical solutions that are much more effective and stronger for this matter.
Yes. While is not required as often as a regular service, a scheduled chemical wash is still needed as this particular service covers more parts thoroughly like the condenser and evaporator foil, it may have toxic gunk accumulated in these sensitive parts of an air-cond unit.
Dirty air filters, for example, prevent proper airflow. Thus, it’s important to have your air-cond regularly cleaned in order for it to work properly and thus, prolonging its lifespan.
Chemical wash prices are dependent on FCU (A fan coil unit (FCU) contains a fan which draws the air in a space into the unit then blows it over a cooling or heating coil. The air comes out of the FCU either cooler or hotter than before). For 10 FCU, you can expect to pay a minimum of $55/ FCU, while for 5FCU, you may pay at least $350 for the entire package.
